Thailand:From Temples to Beaches: A Two Week Family Adventure
Having recently spent two weeks in this far-flung region, Thailand was a magical experience for the whole family. With children in both high school and college, I would recommend this itinerary primarily for families with older children, as it requires a fair amount of stamina. On this trip, we learned many things about Buddhist culture — meeting monks and touring temples. We quickly developed an appreciation for the artists who have created these stunning structures over the years. We gained a sense of the importance of these spiritual centers and their integral role in Thai culture. Skyscrapers merge with majestic golden temples on the skyline, where sunsets take on an entirely new meaning, and the rivers sparkle as the sun sets. It is magical! The contrast between the bustling cities, the excitement of Muay Thai fights (more on that later), and the peaceful, isolated national parks and busy beaches is striking. This diverse country offers everything for an adventurous, active trip, from rich cultural experiences to mouthwatering food. We experienced everything, from wild animal encounters to glistening shorelines.

She aspires to live more creatively, consciously and intentionally as she uncovers the path to her higher purpose in this life. The #5 item on her bucket list is to spin the wheel and win big money as a contestant on Wheel of Fortune.
Our first guest author:
Susan is a trained Life Coach actively working towards creating space for the expression of her authentic voice through writing and meaningful connections with others.
She lives in Maryland with her husband and three children where she delights in her roles as cheerleader, coach and encourager and loves to travel, bike ride, take scenic walks and stand-up paddleboard with her family.
Susan believes genuine connection with others is her sacred work and she dreams of using writing to synthesize her unique experience and perspective to help others find their own nuggets of truth, hope and healing wisdom that may be employed in their journeys to experiencing the best in themselves. Susan strives for her writing to reflect the truth, humor and wisdom that she sees in the world as informed by her core perspective that not only are we all deeply connected but, more importantly, we are more the same than we are different.

It’s In the Genes, Find Out How They Could Save a Life
Jennifer was featured in a news story about her new book about breast cancer and the importance of genetic testing. It could save a life.

You Can’t Change Your Genes, But You Can Change What You Do About Them
I’m a breast cancer survivor.
I feel almost guilty putting those words out there, because I never had to undergo chemo or radiation. In fact, I didn’t even know I HAD cancer in my body until AFTER I was recovering from what was a preventive or prophylactic bilateral mastectomy.

Proof
Today I was all up in my feelings, stuck in a troubled headspace exacerbated by a compromised health space, having late last week ended my two and a half year streak of being Covid-free with the emergence of that dastardly subversive second line on the rapid test stick.

We’re on the Same Team
It’s a fundamental human need – belongingness. The desire to be accepted by our peers isn’t something we leave behind with our school days. Start a new job and you have to prove yourself from scratch with a new set of people. They don’t know you, or your sense of humor, or your capabilities, and you don’t know them. Will I fit in? Will they like me? Will I like them? Will they pick teams and I’ll be left standing there like so-and-so, eyes to the ground with cheeks aflame?

Adventures in Water Aerobics
The first time Ellen invited me to see her dollhouse I was caught off guard. We had met only forty-five minutes prior as I was descending the steps to my first water aerobics class.
